Submitting a request to ITP/Server

Requests can be submitted through several interfaces to ITP/Server. ITP/Server offers APIs, a COM library, an AS/400 client, Java classes and a Web Services interface to integrate ITP/Server in your application. Incoming requests are divided over the available Document Processors by the central ITP/Document Processor Manager.

In a typical ITP/Server setup, ITP/Server is installed on a central machine. All requests will be submitted to this machine on which the ITP/Document Processor Manager is installed. ITP/Document Processor Manager divides the incoming request over all available Document Processors. The ITP/Server Administrator is used to configure and manage ITP/Server. The ITP/Server processes can be monitored with the ITP/Server (HTTP) Monitor.

It is not required that the ITP/Server Administrator and the ITP/Server (HTTP) Monitor run on the same machine as the ITP/Server itself.
