It is possible to install the ITP/MDK Repository Server and the ITP/MDK Repository Client on the same machine.
Deployment of the server part of the ITP/MDK Repository is supported on 32-bit and 64-bit versions of the following server platforms:
Deployment of the server part on a client version of Microsoft Windows is not supported.

The following wordprocessors are supported by ITP/MDK Repository Client for the purpose of editing model documents, including documents in Microsoft Word, or spell checking:

By default, Microsoft Word 2007 is configured to save new documents in the Microsoft Word 2007 .docx format. Avoiding issues with using Microsoft Word 2007, if you want to use .doc format, open the Microsoft Word Options screen and change the setting Save > Save files in this format to Microsoft Word 97-2003 Document (*.doc), otherwise set .docx support on the project. Refer to ITP/MDK Repository Manual for more information.
To use the editors you need Internet Explorer 6 or higher.
It is possible to run an ITP model using the ITP/OnLine Server or ITP/Workstation. For the latter ITP/Workstation (3.1.0 or higher) is required on the client.
Also, OpenOffice.org 2.2.x is supported. However, editing of OpenOffice.org documents is not possible when running in a Microsoft Windows Terminal Server or Citrix session.
Note
When using Microsoft Word 2007, you can create ITP Model Documents but to create ITP Models you need ITP/Create Model Package 3.2.10 or higher. If you want to create ITP Models from Microsoft Word Documents 2007 (*.docx), you need ITP/Create Model Package 3.5.4 or higher.
Note
When using a 64 bit version of Microsoft Windows, you need to add DSN entries using the 32 bit version of the ODBC Data Source Aministrator tool. This 32 bit version can be started from the following location:
<windows folder>\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe
Note
When using Textblock previews during ITP/OnLine Server runs, this version of the ITP/MDK Repository Server is only compatible with ITP/OnLine Server 3.5.20 or higher.
