A Text Block Question has the following properties:
Fields...
In some properties you can use fields as (part of the) value. You can use the button Fields... to insert fields into the property value.
Note
This feature is only available when the project containing the Form is configured with ITP/Create Model Package 3.2.19 or up.
Question text
This is the question as it is shown to the end user. HTML instructions can be used to layout this text.
Read-only
Check this box to make the question read-only. When the form is filled out the default answer is shown and the user cannot change this value.
View
Text Blocks are organized in Views. The Views that can be used in the Form are shown in the drop down box at the property View.
Help text
Help text can be added to a question to provide additional information to the end user. By default, a question mark will be shown next to the question. If the end user hovers over this question mark the help text is shown. Use HTML instructions to lay out the help text.
Allow multiple Text Blocks to be selected
If this option is checked, the end user can select more than one Text Block from the View. If the related option Allow Text Block to be ordered is checked the end user can change the sequence in which the Text Blocks will be inserted in the document. If the related option Select all by default is checked, all Text Blocks in the View will already be selected when the question is asked. If so desired, the end user can deselect Text Blocks from the View.
Auto insert Text Blocks and Store Text Blocks in field
One of these options needs to be selected. If Auto insert Text Blocks is selected the Text Blocks are inserted in the document at the position where the Form is used. If the option Store Text Blocks in field is checked, the Text Block is stored to an answer field.
Validation

When the Validation is checked as "None" the answer to the question is not checked.
When "A non-empty answer is required" is checked the answer to the question needs to be filled in by the end user. Otherwise, an error will occur. You can add the value from a Field to the Error message text and you can lay out this text with HTML instructions..
Note
Validation is only available from version 3.2.19 or up of the ITP/Create Model Package.
This feature is for advanced users only. Do not enter or change IDs on this tab if you do not understand the implications.
Every question in a Form is associated with a unique identifier (ID). If Question IDs are not present in a Form, they are automatically generated when a Form is saved. You can change such an ID manually on this tab. For more information, refer to the ITP/Server Manual chapter Integrating, section Form and Question IDs.
