The administrative account

The ITP/MDK Repository has a special, built-in user account for administrative purposes, called ITP Admin. This special user has some privileges that are not shared with the other, common user accounts. These include:

• Entering and reviewing ITP/MDK Repository licenses.
• Viewing, and possibly terminating, active user sessions.
• Managing user accounts, roles and global user authorization.
• Breaking users' locks.
• Setting some installation properties.
• Purging deleted items from the database.

On the other hand, the ITP Admin account cannot perform common model development or other primary tasks.

The ITP Admin account, and user sessions of the ITP Admin account, do not count against the number of users mentioned in the license. This implies that ITP Admin can also log in if the license is violated, which is needed to be able to enter a new license.
