Timeout

This setting specifies the timeout value (in milliseconds) that the interface will use for retrieving jobs from the specified MQSeries queue. Setting a timeout value to n, means that in worst case ITP/Server will only detect special circumstances - such as a shutdown request - after n milliseconds. So, the timeout value must not be too high. On the other hand, using a low timeout value means that ITP/Server actually polls for new jobs, which consumes much processing power.

Type

Optional setting.

Value

Any positive timeout value (milliseconds).

Default Value

1000 (i.e., 1 second)
