Upgrading the Sample Applications

When upgrading the ITP/OnLine web application, it is advisable to install new versions of the ITP/OnLine sample custom applications as well.

Note

Be careful to not install new versions of the ITP/OnLine sample applications in the following situations:

• When the installed sample applications have been modified, and when these modifications should be retained. Installing a new version of the sample applications will destroy any customizations that have been made.
• When the current installation does not have any sample applications installed. Installing the sample applications is an optional step in the installation of ITP/OnLine. The sample applications may have been skipped for a reason, for instance because the installation is intended for a production situation. Before installing the sample applications, make sure that there is a reason for doing so.

To upgrade the ITP/OnLine sample applications, follow the steps below

1. In the ITP/OnLine configuration folder, rename the folders sample and sample2 to sample.old and sample2.old.
2. Create new folders sample and sample2.
3. Install the new versions of the applications by unzipping the files sample.zip and sample2.zip, which are included in the ITP/OnLine distribution, to the folders sample and sample2.
4. Move the file config.xml from the folder sample.old into the folder sample.
5. Move the file config.xml from the folder sample2.old into the folder sample2.
6. Delete the folders sample.old and sample2.old.
