Identification of the WE/400 client PC ID can be based on the User ID of the current user. This requires that the User ID used to logon in Windows must be the same as the User ID to signon at the AS/400.You can use User ID ID Retrieval with any terminal emulator. If you want to use the User ID method to retrieve the WE/400 client PC ID, you must configure this option on the AS/400 and the PC.
If User ID ID Retrieval is used, the user can only be logged on to one PC.
You can use the SETRTVID command or option 11 on the WE/400 configuration menu. Set the mode to *USER.
On the PC, activate the option Identification based on the user id of the current user on the Connections tab.
