Using the Service, a job call

ITP/Server comes with a tool that facilitates submitting jobs for testing: Test tool. This tool can be started from the Tools menu of the ITP/Server Administrator. We are going to use it to submit a job to our example script. First we must create a file to copy. Create a Word file that is called exampletest in C:\temp.

Open Test Tool and enter the following:

Note that my Server host is localhost and the port is the default port, this might be different for you.

What is important is that the first job parameter is always the name of the service.

Press the submit button. The Status will inform you when server is ready. When it is, go to c:\temp and look for copyofexampletest.doc.

You have just created and tested a new Service in ITP/Server.
