The ITP XML WebServices Connection enables you to retrieve data from XML via the HTTP protocol. As different HTTP servers expect different types of messages, the XML WebServices Connection has been set up in a very flexible way. It is possible to control the overall layout of the HTTP request to a large extent with templates. This applies both to HTTP headers, as to the content of the message. This allows for the construction of virtually any type of HTTP request message, including messages without XML data.
